Idaho Cattle Association Endorses Scott Bedke to be Idaho’s Next Lieutenant Governor
Boise, IDAHO – The Idaho Cattle Association (ICA), a leading voice in Idaho’s powerful agriculture industry, is announcing its endorsement of Scott Bedke to become Idaho’s next Lieutenant Governor. Bedke, a fourth generation Idaho cattle rancher, previously served as President of the ICA and Director of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, where he advocated for ranchers and the vitally important work they do.
“As a rancher, Scott Bedke is the obvious leader for Idaho agriculture,” said Blackfoot rancher and ICA President Mark Pratt. “More importantly, he is the only candidate with the integrity and moral compass needed to serve our state as Lieutenant Governor.”
As a rancher, and Speaker of the most conservative legislative body in the country, Bedke has led the charge to protect our land and water rights from the federal government. Additionally, he has successfully negotiated and settled long-standing water disputes that have plagued Idaho for decades, including the Snake River Adjudication.
“I am truly grateful and humbled to have the support of the Idaho Cattle Association. My introduction to the politics began when a federal bureaucrat tried to run my family off our ranch over a water dispute,” said Bedke. “We won that battle, and I have worked closely with the Idaho Cattle Association fighting to protect Idaho’s land and water rights ever since. As a fourth generation rancher and Speaker, I’ve delivered proven, conservative results for Idahoans and will continue doing the same thing as Idaho’s next Lieutenant Governor.”
