Boise, Idaho – Idaho Lt. Governor Scott Bedke today announced his campaign for re-election, pledging to continue fighting for our Idaho way of life and ensuring Idaho remains a place of outstanding opportunity for generations to come.
“As your Lt. Governor, I’ve worked every day to protect our Idaho way of life and our state’s future,” said Bedke. “I’ve never forgotten that I work for my fellow Idahoans, and that means defending our freedoms and our borders, limiting government interference, and delivering meaningful tax relief.
None of this matters though, unless we assure that Idaho’s children and families continue to have all the best opportunities for the future. With decades of service as an Idaho Representative, Speaker of the Idaho House, and now as Lt. Governor, Scott Bedke has been a driving force behind Idaho’s conservative policies, including shepherding the largest tax cuts in state history, defending parental rights, and ensuring responsible investments in education and infrastructure. In his time as Speaker of the House, Bedke drove the conservative budgeting that has strengthened Idaho’s place as one of the top state economies in the country. He also led the way in protecting Idahoans’ Constitutional rights, especially the 2nd amendment, and settled long-standing water disputes. The Idaho native graduated from Oakley High School and, together with his brother, runs his family cattle ranch in Southern Idaho.
