Snake River Sugarbeet Growers Association Endorses Scott Bedke to be Idaho’s Next Lieutenant Governor

Boise, IDAHO – The Snake River Sugarbeet Growers Association is proudly endorsing Scott Bedke to become Idaho’s next Lieutenant Governor. SRSGA President Randy Grant says Bedke’s knowledge of Idaho’s agriculture industry, along with his experience in the Legislature, result in a great fit for the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

“As a rancher, Scott understands the importance of agriculture to our state’s economy. As a policy maker, he has repeatedly distinguished himself and shown he has Idaho’s best interests at heart,” said Grant. “His work bringing ground water and surface water users together to solve complex water use issues is just one example of his leadership ability. He has the Snake River Sugarbeet Growers Association’s full support.”

Bedke, a fourth generation Idaho rancher, has successfully negotiated and settled long-standing water disputes that have plagued Idaho for decades, including the Snake River Adjudication. As Speaker of the most conservative legislative body in the country, Bedke has led the charge to protect our land and water rights from the federal government, provide historic tax cuts, and turn Idaho into the least regulated state in the nation.

“Like the rest of Idaho, our agriculture industry is undergoing inevitable changes. We need to be able to adapt through innovative solutions to remain a global leader,” said Bedke. “I am proud that I’ve played a part in bolstering the backbone of Idaho’s economy, both as a rancher and as Speaker. It’s my promise to continue helping our agriculture industry thrive as Idaho’s next Lieutenant Governor. I greatly appreciate the Snake River Sugarbeet Growers Association’s endorsement.”
